Many readers will be interested to learn that Mr Henry Irving and Miss Ellen Terry had the honour of being introduced to McGonagall in Edinburgh on Sunday. Mr Irving expressed regret at being unable to be present at the Waverley Hall matinee on Saturday. He asked the poet-tragedian if he found the audience appreciative. The McGonagall replied that tbe audience was “fascinated,” and “would have listened to him all night.” Mr Irving and Mr Bram Stoker (who was present at the matinee) have ordered a copy of the great McGonagall’s “Works,” with autographs.
